Terip Terip’s Lakithi garden the result of passion and vision

THAT'S DAM PRETTY: "The first thing we did was to enlarge the dam, which became the focus of my design," writes Lakithi owner Gail Van Rooyen.

MY longing for my own extensive cold climate garden was finally sated when in 1996 my husband and I bought this lightly wooded, gently undulating, well-watered land and named it “Lakithi” – a Zulu word for “Our Place”.

We built the house in 2000.
