Terip Terip’s Lakithi garden the result of passion and vision

MY longing for my own extensive cold climate garden was finally sated when in 1996 my husband and I bought this lightly wooded, gently undulating, well-watered land and named it “Lakithi” – a Zulu word for “Our Place”.

We built the house in 2000.

The first thing we did was to enlarge the dam, which became the focus of my design.
