TENNIS returned to the picturesque Euroa Lawn courts on Saturday with the first round of the Benalla and District Tennis Association completed in almost perfect conditions.
There was the occasional gusty wind and a garden bonfire lit midway during play added a certain degree of difficulty for all players.
However, whilst the smoke was a constant irritant, the wind did provide an excuse for the wayward shots and missed opportunities that are often a part of the first round of any tennis season.
