THE local cricket season may only be a month old, but players are already being warned abusive language and sledging is not acceptable.
Wangaratta and District Cricket Association umpires are making a concerted effort to stamp out sledging and ensuring the game is played in the spirit and to the rules as set out in the Laws of Cricket, as written by the Marylebone Cricket Club.
