THOSE who are heading out for a day on Lake Nagambie will be able to see what conditions are like before heading out care of an online camera feed from the Regatta Centre boat ramp.
The new camera will upload camera images from the ramp every five minutes on Maritime Safety Victoria’s Boating Vic trip preparation website (boating.vic.gov.au) and app.
Weather information will also be powered by the Bureau of Meteorology, and safety advice is provided by Maritime Safety Victoria alongside partner agencies such as the Victorian Fisheries Authority and Parks Victoria.
Last year, Boating Vic ramp cameras were switched on at Port Phillip and Western Port. More inland and regional boat ramp cameras are planned for 2021.
Those who want to look at the online feed at Lake Nagambie can do so at www.boating.vic.gov.au/ramps/a157F000001P6TrQAK or search for ‘Lake Nagambie’ on the Boating Vic app.
