THE Violet Town Bowls Club are urgently looking for new members to take part in regular social bowls days, with an aim to get competing again.
Club president Dennis Taylor said the club has seen people attending bowls events wane over a number of years, but he is determined to keep the club alive and is keen to see new faces regularly pop up for a bowl.
“Six, seven years ago we would have had about 30 people here regularly playing and they’d be playing here all the time but we’ve been dropping in numbers numbers where in one year we dropped to having on average 12 people here,” Mr Taylor said.
