Frustration over Violet Town toilet revamp delay

VIOLET Town residents have been left frustrated over the lack of progress by Strathbogie Shire Council in improving toilet facilities at the town’s football oval, despite funds allocated three years ago to improve the facility.

A new group established to get the toilet facility improved have criticised the council for being “recalcitrant” after a year of negotiations going nowhere.

Violet Town resident Neil Garrett, who convened the group, says the toilet often blocks up on heavy demand days such as the popular Violet Town Market day once a month.
