Violet Town ladies dress in recycled kimonos for Women’s Health Week

MORE than 45 women wore kimonos made out of pillowcases and tea towels from Violet Town as part of a wellbeing night at the Violet Town Community House on Wednesday, September 19.

Lisa Jensen, co-ordinator of the Violet Town Community House, said the night was based around having fun while also highlighting Women’s Health Week last month.

“The event was to be based around kimono and was based around an old kimono that I saw hanging in an art gallery in Albury that was made out of old Australiana teat towels,” Ms Jensen said.
