• Viral infection forces hospital lockdown

    A VIRAL infection believed to be gastro, spread throughout Euroa Health and GraniteHill aged care last week, forcing both buildings into lockdown.

    Both buildings closed entry on Monday after a number of patients and residents were presenting symptoms of the infection.

    Euroa Health was able to declare the lockdown finished on Wednesday afternoon after the final patient or resident hadn’t shown any symptoms for 48 hours.

    One wing in GraniteHill aged care is still shut off, but the rest of the facility was opened as normal on Monday morning.
