RESIDENTS in Violet Town have expressed their disappointment after a series of changes have been made to their general practice rooms, which is now declared as a “satellite clinic”.
The Violet Town Medical Clinic issued a message via its Facebook page on February 25 that stated the main office of the clinic will now relocate to their Euroa practice.
They also confirmed the current clinic at 46 Cowslip Street Violet Town will be turned into a satellite branch, which is “due to a shortage of staff”.
Violet Town Bush Nursing Centre chief executive officer Barry Hobbs said both he and the centre are working with the medical clinic and are in talks to get the best outcome for the community.
“There is currently no longer reception staff at the clinic and one of the nurses has shifted to Euroa,” Mr Hobbs said.
