A PROPOSED promotional sign on the corner of Tarcombe and Templeton Street has caused some objection throughout the community, after council put forward the recommendation at their latest planning meeting.

With objections in play, the council decided they would defer the decision and allow for further community consultation on the matter.

The sign’s proposed dimensions were a height of 3.35 metres and a width of 12.66 metres to sit on steel panels with an overall height of 2 metres, with the sheer size of it enough to anger neighbouring residents and business owners.

Melbourne based Total Outdoor Media were the applicants for the sign and it was initially proposed to have signage for the TAC.
