• A pedalling success for Avenel students

    AFTER months of hard work and training, Avenel Primary School students were finally able to put their skills to the test at the annual Energy Breakthrough in Maryborough.

    Coming away with second and fourth place in their categories, both teams were incredibly chuffed with the best results the school have received in the four year’s they have competed.

    On top of the results the teams also managed to get the outright fastest lap of the 14 hour race, with daily training on exercise bikes appearing to have paid off.

    Since 1991, the Energy Breakthrough has provided opportunities for students, teachers, parents and local industry to work together to design and construct a vehicle, a machine or innovation in technology.
