WITH the notion of an off-leash dog park for Euroa in the pipeline for some time now, council have announced they will seek the advice of the Strathbogie shire community on where is a suitable location.
The council are currently investigating locations and requirements for the implementation of an off-leash dog area in both Euroa and Nagambie.
They are in the hope the community can provide them with ideas and opinions on locations they think would be appropriate for this type of activity.
The off-leash dog area will be a designated area where dogs can exercise and play off the leash under the supervision of their owners.
Strathbogie Shire Mayor Amanda McClaren said Council has provided several months for community engagement to give plenty of time for people to have their say.
“Having a dedicated off-leash dog area in the Strathbogie Shire was something that initially came out of our Let’s Talk- We’re Listening campaign with our community, which is why it became a priority in our Council Plan,” Mayor McClaren said.
