WITH a number of players unavailable for selection when the teams were selected on the Thursday night, it was a worrying thought to supporters on how the reserves would field a competitive team on game day.
Luckily Euroa took to the field with a full team thanks to the support from the under 18 team who helped with five top up players.
This was a big help to the team as it is a big disadvantage to have no players on the bench.
Most of the supporters including the scribe thought it would be a difficult task for the team to come away with the four points.
As the game commenced in the first quarter, this was confirmed with the Shepparton team winning the centre breaks and hitting the scoreboard and taking the early lead.
To the credit of the Euroa group they steadied the run of play, commenced to control the opposition at the stoppages and started to win the ball, placing pressure on the opposition across the ground.
