THIS Saturday ‘Parkrun Euroa’ will be officially launched at the Seven Creeks Park.
Parkrun is a global network of people who organise free, weekly, 5km timed runs for people of all ages, abilities and experience.
For months, a group of enthusiastic locals has been working to bring a Parkrun, which take place in hundreds of locations across Australia every Saturday morning, to Euroa.
Every Parkrun requires a 5km, unobstructed course which is accessible to all people who wish to take part.
The event begins at 8am, with each participant required to print out a barcode pre-race which they scan once they finish their run (or walk) to record their time.
It has taken those trying to bring the event to town a lot of effort to adhere to Parkrun’s strict rules around course suitability.
