LINDSAY Park’s ‘Boom Time’ came from the clouds on Saturday to win the $3 million Caulfield Cup.

As a $51 long-shot, Boom Time began the lead up to the race as the least favoured of the Euroa stable’s four runners, but finished strongly to pull away from Single Gaze and pre-race favourite Johannes Vermeer.

Boom Time’s win brings trainer David Hayes’ Caulfield Cup triumphs to three, along with Fraar in 1993 and Tawqeet in 2006.
