EUROA is revved up to welcome a huge influx of visitors and big boost to the local economy as it again hosts the annual Australian National Show and Shine this weekend.
As many as 1400 cars, bikes, tractors and engines of all varieties and vintages will fill the streets and parks this Sunday, to be enjoyed by a crowd expected to be in excess of 10,000 people.
The event attracts more than just the bikes and cars, however, with steam engines, both mobile and stationary, a speedway display and exhibitions by Country Fire Authority, Victoria Police and Ambulance all on offer.
For the family, there are skydivers to watch, helicopter rides, free mini-train rides for the kids, face painting, jumping castles and a petting zoo with lots of hands-on, cuddly, furry animals.
This year the Euroa Show and Shine will once again be taking it to the streets, spreading the display cars around by including the Euroa CBD as well as the picturesque Seven Creeks Park area.
Strathbogie Shire Mayor Amanda McClaren said the show and shine is not only a great event for those who come along, but its importance to the shire cannot be underestimated.
