Magpies off to the big dance

PACK CRASH: Curtis Hoare (left), Brad Cunningham and Ben Hayes all vie for the ball.

FOR the second time in four years the Euroa Football Netball Club Reserve football team have qualified to play in the grand final.

This year, the game is set for Sunday, September 24 (Time – TBC) at Deakin Reserve in Shepparton.

Having won the big match in 2014 as well as contesting, yet not being successful, the under 18 grand final in 2016, the Magpie Army are certainly well-prepared in their support and motivation for their players to do well.

This year’s coaching staff of James Ivill and Paul Anderson were delighted with the way their side performed at the weekend in Rochester against the Kyabram reserves.

Some excellent inclusions from the senior team the week before meant the depth of the side was added to – unfortunately this meant a few missed out on a game yet the delight at seeing their team win the match was a credit to the attitude of those who did not play.

The boys have this weekend off where they will have a 9.30am training run on Sunday morning at Memorial Oval.
