A return to winning

WHAT a difference a week makes to a football team with the Euroa Reserves team coming to play against the strong Kyabram Reserves with a much better performance than the previous week’s game against Shepparton United.

In this game they were a much more determined group, prepared to commit to the contest to work hard and to support each other.

The game was of a very good standard for reserves football with our reserves team quickly on the scoreboard to take the lead for the first half of the game.

But the Kyabram team were always there chipping away, not allowing our team to break away with a commanding lead and this was proved correct with them taking the lead during a good third quarter.

To the credit of the Euroa reserves team they showed much more resolve in putting together good passages of play, giving the forward line players the opportunity to hit the scoreboard resulting in the team coming away with a well-earned twenty-one point win.

The team welcomed the return of Will Murray back into the team where his effort in the ruck and his work around the ground where his run and strong marking made him very important contributor to the team.
