A CROSS section of the world’s premier wine fraternity, the Masters of Wine (MW), recently spent the morning at Tahbilk Winery as part of their Australian tour.
Out of the 340 MW, 47 recently travelled through three states and 11 wine regions, visiting premier wineries along the way to immerse themselves in some of the best wines that Australia has to offer.
The delegates were from an array of locations across the globe and fourth generation Tahbilk Winery owner Alister Purbrick said that they spent a power packed two hours at the historic winery.
“We showed them videos of the winery prior to their arrival,” he said.
“They gave a tour and overview so that we could devote most of the time to wine tasting.”
Mr Purbrick said that the MW tasted an array of wines spanning across many vintages including many from the 1980s.
